Cosegic bolsters its Capital Markets Team with three new hires, whilst deepening its alternative investment management expertise

Cosegic, one of the UK's leading compliance consultancies providing assistance with FCA authorisation, ongoing consulting, online training and prudential services, has today announced significant additions to its Capital Markets expertise with three new hires. These hires come soon after Cosegic's recent move into a bigger premises in the City of London.

Cosegic now employs 60 staff who work together in industry specialist teams, servicing over 800 clients from the following sectors: banking, capital markets (including hedge funds, private equity, asset management, wealth management, corporate finance and broking), payment services, consumer credit, insurance and lending. 

Martin Lovick joins as Director, Capital Markets. He advises a wide range of financial institutions, including leading hedge fund and private markets managers, brokers and corporate finance firms. Prior to joining Cosegic, he was a Director within ACA Group’s Regulatory Consulting Practice in London, where he worked for over 10 years. He also brings over 30 years’ experience of front office trading and investment management.

Sharon Ugboaja also joins as Consultant, Capital Markets, from the consulting practice of a law firm. She has over seven years financial services regulatory compliance experience, with four years spent in the Authorisations Division at the Financial Conduct authority.

These two new additions, coming so soon after the merger with Portman Compliance, consolidate the Company’s growth into the wholesale markets sector.

Stefan Babic also joins Cosegic as Senior Consultant in the rapidly growing Prudential Services team. Before joining Cosegic, Stefan spent just over seven years with PwC as an Auditor and latterly as Senior Manager in the Investment Management Regulatory Team. He will be utilising his expertise to assist Capital Market firms with their capital and liquidity requirements, their financial and non-financial risk management, RegData returns, as well as supporting firms with their ICARA and wind-down planning obligations.
