Cosegic, one of the UK's leading providers of compliance consultancy and regtech services, is delighted announce the appointment of Jonathan Aseervatham as a Director of our Prudential Services team.

He joins Cosegic at a time of substantial demand for their prudential services. The new Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR) comes into effect on 1 January 2022. Some 3,600 firms will be affected and around one third will face a significant impact, as they are required to implement new processes, policies and procedures. Cosegic Services has held two successful webinars about the new regulations and are hosting a third webinar on 28 September. This will offer a guide to the ICARA process and the practical nature of the webinar has generated substantial interest.

Jonathan has extensive experience advising FCA regulated businesses that include hedge-fund managers, broker-dealers, private equity, asset management and investment advisory firms. He specialises in helping firms to assess their regulatory capital and liquidity requirements; to implement IFPR including developing ICARAs and wind down plans; and with their regulatory reporting obligations.

Prior to joining Cosegic he spent almost 14 years with the top 20 accountancy and consultancy firm, Buzzacott. He joined Buzzacott as an audit graduate, working his way to become an Associate Director in their FCA advisory and reporting team.

Philip Naughton, CEO, Cosegic, “We are delighted to attract someone of Jonathan’s calibre to our growing consultancy, with his ability to help us continue to grow our prudential services client-base and offering. I have no doubt that he will prove to be an invaluable member of our team”.

Jonathan explains “I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic and ambitious compliance consultancy. I found the business plan and growth strategy exciting and am now looking forward to getting involved with clients and prospective clients and delivering a high quality, bespoke and responsive service”.
