MEET ROBERT.
What’s your role at Cosegic?
I’m Robert, and I work in the Financial Resilience team at Cosegic. After graduating, I began my professional journey at Cosegic, where I’ve been able to apply my academic knowledge and continue growing and expanding my knowledge in the regulatory compliance field.
What’s your career journey been?
During my time at university, in the summers of 2019 and 2020, I completed internships in the Financial Advisory department at Deloitte in Sofia, where I networked with industry professionals and further developed my interest in the financial sector. For my dissertation at university, I chose to explore the topic of Estonia’s EU integration and euro adoption on its economy, driven by my passion for EU integration and its economic impact.
What’s the best thing about working at Cosegic?
I am excited about working for Cosegic because of its ongoing expansion and the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues. The friendly, supportive environment allows me to grow professionally through training sessions, direct mentorship, and managing client relationships. I enjoy explaining complex regulatory topics and appreciate the room for subjectivity in my work.
Outside of work, what keeps you busy?
Outside of work, I am a keen skier and enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and cycling in the mountains. I’ve completed parts of the European long-distance paths E4 and E3 and am eager to explore more hiking and skiing destinations across Europe.
MEET LEVASH.
Can you tell us a bit about your background?
I studied Law in South Africa and started my career as a law graduate, then quickly moved into the fast paced world of Private Banking. I enjoyed providing funding solutions and excellent service to private bank clients and worked my way up to regional Operational Head of FNB Private Bank, one of the largest banks in South Africa.
We moved to London in 2013 with a young family, and whilst I loved spending time with my children, I always wanted to get back into the corporate world. I have always been attracted to FS compliance and financial crime, therefore was excited to join Cosegic in July 2017. They were superb as a mum returning to work, giving me the flexibility to pursue my career alongside motherhood. At Cosegic, I have the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience in financial crime to support our diverse client base.
What excites you about working for Cosegic?
Our fantastic culture, my colleagues and the opportunities to work with experienced and knowledgeable individuals.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Maintain excellent client relationships, partnering clients to find solutions to their problems, and client satisfaction after an assurance review is completed.
Describe yourself in three words.
Passionate, dedicated and fun-loving.
Outside of work, what keeps you busy?
We have a busy family life, my kids are up to all sorts, which is how we like it. You will find me watching them play waterpolo, netball, rugby, cricket and hockey. We love travelling as a family and nothing beats a few weeks at the beach to unwind and relax.
