This webinar has now passed. A recording of the webinar will be made available in the coming days.

Cosegic is pleased to introduce our new series of Bitesize webinars. These webinars will be 30 minutes long and start at 12:30 pm, making them perfect for lunchtime learning. The aim of the bitesize series is to take one particular regulatory topic and examine it in greater detail to provide insightful and practical guidance. The team will deliver a 25 minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of questions from the audience. We will ensure that we respond to all questions after the webinar if we are not able to answer them all during the 30 minutes.

The ICARA process

Our first webinar in the ongoing series looked at the ICARA and providing guidance on the most pertinent ten aspects that will contribute to an effective and embedded ICARA process.

Although firms have been required to implement an ICARA process since January 2022, the FCA is increasingly utilising the data provided by firms, via regulatory reporting, to identify those which may have weaknesses in their approach to managing risk, capital and liquidity - resulting in requests for firms to provide their documented ICARA process.

In the last 12 months, our Prudential team have seen an uptick in the number requests made by the FCA for firms to provide their ICARA document, outside of formal SREP visits. As a consequence the FCA's expectations are becoming clearer - both through firm specific feedback and broader observations made to the sector.

Agenda

  • Getting the context 'right': Understanding your business
